(TRANSLATION) Ref: CK-04-0000-PO-L-0235 18 August 2004 Subject Purchasing Ordinary Shares of Bangkok Metro Public Company Limited Attention President The Stock Exchange of Thailand The Executive Board of Directors Meeting No. 9/2004 which was held on 16 August 2004, passed up a resolution to render an approval for the Company as to purchase the ordinary shares of Bangkok Metro Public Company Limited, that added from the existing Baht 7,050,000,000.- to be Baht 7,350,000,000.- by issuance of 300,000,000 shares at the par value of Baht 1 each and to allot for 200,000,000 shares at the par value of Baht 1 each, offering to the company's existing shareholders in accordance with the shareholding ratio by the subscription for the existing shareholding ratio of 35.25 per one new share at the price of Baht 3 each. Thus, the aforesaid is to maintain the Company's shareholding ratio of 23.09 percent of the registered capital of Bangkok Metro Public Company Limited, representing 46,183,243 shares to be additionally purchased by the Company at the price of Baht 3 each totalling Baht 138,549,729.- For your information.
