Karnchang Public Company Limited, Subsidiaries and Jointly controlled entities for the year ended of December 31, 2008 yields an increase in profit by 3,647.2%, compared with the operating result form the same fiscal year due to the following factors: 1. In the year 2008, the Company's interest income has gained on revenue from reversal of provision for loss on investment in jointly controlled entity of Baht 408 million. This is due to the decreasing debt burdened of which the Company has to be responsible to the agreement with the partners of the joint venture BBCD as to share this responsibility to such debt burdened of joint-venture according to the resolution of the Board of Directors Meeting No. 3/2008 of which the Company had issued a letter dated 15 May 2008 as to inform The Stock Exchange of Thailand. 2. In the year 2008, the Company's capital had gained its income from the exchange rate of Baht 78 million while the same quarter of the previous year, the Company had got loss from the exchange rate of Baht 130 million. 3. The paid interest of the Company has been decreased due to the complete construction of the large projects and there already have been repayment of loan. 4. The Company has had some decreasing loss from its investments in the associated companies as some associated companies have gained more income from the operation result such as Thai Tap Water Public Company Limited.
