March 31, 1998 with the first quarter ended March 31,1997
The operating result of CH . Karnchang Public Company Limited, Subsidiaries
and Joint Ventures was increased by 229% in the first quarter ended March
31, 1998, compared with the same period of 1997.
Due to the strengthen of Baht at the end of the first quarter ended March
31, 1998, we had recorded the gain from exchange rate in the amount of Baht
477 million. The gain from exchange rate would vary according to the level of
exchange rate at the end of each period.
