CK-99-0000-AFD-L-277 3rd June,1999 Subject: Clarification of the news To: Director of the Stock Exchange of Thailand According the news in " The Nation " newspaper dated 3rd June, 1999 page B2 in the topic " 10 debtors miss BOT deadline " in the first paragraph " A TOTAL of 10 major corporate debtors supervised by the Bank of Thailand, including Ch. Karnchang Plc, a building contractor, failed to sign a debtor/creditor agreement by the June 1 deadline as imposed by the central Bank." We would like to clarify that the above reference news is not true because the company is not one of those 10 corporate debtors supervised by Bank of Thailand which failed to sign debtor/creditor agreement as the news report.
