Its profit decreased 102.4% and 101.8% for the 3 months and nine-month performance, respectively because of the following factors: 1) During the third quarter of 2001, the company recorded revenue from claims for additional construction costs in a joint venture. 2) During the first nine-months of 2002, the company recorded increased loss from foreign exchange and did not record reversal of provision for doubtful debts and for loss on construction work For your consideration.
