(Translation) No. CK-06-0000-PO-L-0292 June 22, 2006 Re: Exercise of Option to Subscribe for Purchase of Capital Increase Shares in SouthEast Asia Energy Limited Attn: President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand CH. Karnchang Public Company Limited hereby informs that the Company has exercised its option to subscribe for purchase of 102,599,964 capital increase shares in SouthEast Asia Energy Limited, according to its shareholding proportion, at the par value of Baht 10 per share, totaling Baht 1,025,999,640, and exercised its option to subscribe for purchase of another 36 capital increase shares from the existing shareholders who did not exercise their options, at the par value of Baht 10 per share, in the total amount of Baht 360. In this regard, SouthEast Asia Energy Limited resolved to increase its registered capital from Baht 400 Million to Baht 4,000 Million, by issuing 360,000,000 ordinary shares for capital increase, at the par value of Baht 10 per share, and allocating 360,000,000 capital increase shares to the existing shareholders of the company according to their shareholding proportions. In order to maintain the Company's shareholding proportion of 28.50 percent of the registered capital in SouthEast Asia Energy Limited, the Company thus purchased additional 102,599,964 shares. Furthermore, given that there were certain existing shareholders who did not exercise their options to purchase such capital increase shares, the Company thus exercised its option to purchase another 36 shares. Such exercise of option therefore rendered the Company to hold 113,999,996 shares, representing 28.50 percent of the total of 400 million shares in SouthEast Asia Energy Limited.
