(Translation) No. CK-07-0000-PO-L-0024 January 23, 2007 Re: Additional Clarification on Exercise of Right to Subscribe for Capital Increase Shares in Pathum Thani Water Co., Ltd. Attn.: President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Reference is made to the fact that on January 22, 2007, CH. Karnchang Public Company Limited informed the Stock Exchange of Thailand that the Company exercised its right to subscribe for capital increase shares in Pathum Thani Water Co., Ltd. ("PTW") according to its shareholding ratio and subscribe for shares from the existing shareholders who did not exercise their rights. The Company hereby additionally informs that PTW's shareholders who waived their rights to subscribe for capital increase shares are the Provincial Waterworks Authority, Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited and TMB Bank Public Company Limited, with the details on their waiver of rights to subscribe for shares, as follows: 1. The Provincial Waterworks Authority waived its right to subscribe for 825,000 capital increase shares since December 26, 2006. PTW then allocated such shares to other shareholders according to their shareholding ratios, namely, 369,774 shares to CH. Karnchang Public Company Limited, 243,274 shares to Mahasiri Siam Co., Ltd., 125,110 shares to Capital Rice Company Limited, 17,368 shares to CH. Karnchang Holding Co., Ltd., 34,737 shares to Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited, and 34,737 shares to TMB Bank Public Company Limited. Subsequently on January 16, 2007, Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited and TMB Bank Public Company Limited expressed their intentions not to subscribe for such capital increase shares according to their rights, in the number of 694,737 shares each, totaling 1,389,474 shares. PTW therefore allocated such shares to the remaining shareholders according to their ratios, namely, 680,044 shares to CH. Karnchang Public Company Limited, 447,400 shares to Mahasiri Siam Co., Ltd., 230,088 shares to Capital Rice Company Limited, and 31,942 shares to CH. Karnchang Holding Co., Ltd. 2.
