Reference is made to the news articles in the Stock News
Newspaper and the Post Today Newspaper regarding CK's mid-year
dividend payment to comfort shareholders.
CH. Karnchang Public Company Limited hereby clarifies that
in respect of the transfer of reserves to offset the Company's
accumulated loss against the legal reserve and the share premium
reserve, thereby resulting in the Company's remaining accumulated
loss of Baht 283,399, such offset of the accumulated loss is
intended to ensure that the Company has the least possible amount
of loss, which would enable the Company to pay dividend sooner.
In this regard, it is expected that should the operation in the
year 2007 derive profit, the accumulated loss would then be
eliminated and the Company may be able to pay dividend, provided
that interim dividend payment would depend on the results of
operation and the decision of the Board of Directors of the
Company.
