Karnchang Public Company Limited, Subsidiaries and Jointly controlled entities for the year ended of December 31, 2009 yields a decrease in profit by 83.5% compared with the same fiscal year due to the following factors: 1. In the year 2008, the Company's interest income has gained on revenue from reversal of provision for loss on investment in joint venture of Baht 408 million. This is due to the decreasing debt burdened of which the Company has to be responsible to the agreement with the partners of the joint venture BBCD as to share this responsibility to such debt burdened of joint-venture according to the resolution of the Board of Directors Meeting No. 3/2008 of which the Company had informed The Stock Exchange of Thailand's letter dated 15 May 2008. 2. Since the revenue for construction service of year 2009 had been decreased as the most construction projects had been completed in the year of 2009. This therefore enables to be less recognized of income, compared with the same previous year. 3. The financial cost for the year 2009 had been increased from the year 2008 by Baht 58 million because of the debenture issuance for Baht 6,900 million during the year 2009.
