(Translation) No. CK-10-0000-AFD-L-0188 April 29, 2010 Re: Provision of Additional Financial Support to Joint Venture CKET Attn.: President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand CH. Karnchang Public Company Limited (the "Company") hereby notifies that the Board of Directors' Meeting No. 3/2009 which was held on August 27, 2009 passed a resolution granting approval for the Company to provide financial support to Joint Venture CKET (CH.Karnchang Public Company Limited holds 80 percent of shares and Expert Transport Co., Ltd.holds 20 percent of shares) according to the shareholding ratio in the amount of not exceeding Baht 12,000,000. In this regard, such transaction is deemed a medium-sized transaction with the value of more than 0.03 percent but less than 3 percent of the Company's net tangible assets or representing 0.22 percent of the Company's net tangible assets (the Company's net tangible assets as at June 30, 2009 amounted to Baht 5,366 Million), which is considered a connected transaction under the Notification of the Board of Governors of the Stock Exchange of Thailand, Re:Disclosure of Information and Other Acts of Listed Companies Concerning Connected Transactions B.E. 2546 (2003). The related party is Mahasiri Siam Co., Ltd. which is the major shareholder of CH. Karnchang Public Company Limited, holding shares representing 20.43 percent of its paid-up registered capital, and holding shares in Expert Transport Co., Ltd. representing 90 percent of its registered capital, as well as having common directors and management.
